29 Weeks

Wyatt decided he wanted to pose with me for my 29 week update and struck this pose without any instruction. Sweet boy was cracking me up, obviously not the first time he has seen Mommy do this ;).

We had another great check up today. I know I sound like a broken record, but I could not be more grateful for every week that goes by without complication. I keep waiting to go in and have them say OK, now it is time to put your feet up and stop everything, but so far so good. Don't worry I still do plenty of putting my feet up, but there have been no official restrictions. The babies weren't feeling too photogenic, their faces were turned away from the sonogram but their heads were right next to each other this week.

I start going in every week now. It's hard to believe I only have eight more weeks of this pregnancy left, assuming I make it to the home stretch (no pun intended). I'm trying to enjoy it as much as possible and not wish it away.

The Big Orange Pumpkin Farm

Last week I got to go with Stacey III and his class on a field trip to The Big Orange Pumpkin Farm. We went on a hay ride, fed animals, had a picnic and got to pick out a pumpkin from the patch.

This precious five year old has been giving me a real run for my money lately testing his boundaries and giving me attitude that can leave me feeling completely defeated by the end of the day, so I was loving the sweet quality time with my first born.
Mrs. Jerry our fearless leader.
Jerry told me I looked like I was smuggling a pumpkin and I'd have to agree!
Stacey's precious teacher Mrs. Carol talking about how pumpkins grow.
Listening VERY intently to the feeding instructions - maybe I need to keep goat food on me to get the boys to listen??
Stacey and his sweet class from Parkway Hills. It was good to put some faces with the names I hear about during the week.
This kid is such an animal lover.
Wait just a second Mr. Goat!! This goat was litrally eating Stacey's shirt - of course the highlight of his day. :)

Thanks for letting me tag along Stacey I loved spending the day with you!!!

Pumpkin Patch

There is a church near our house that sells pumpkins every fall and every-time we pass by, which is often, the boys beg to stop in at the pumpkin patch. On Monday we gathered our spare change and were on a mission. We had six dollars so I told Stacey that we could get several tiny pumpkins, two smallish ones or one large one. Ya'll I don't know that I have ever witnessed such intense decision making.
Wyatt thought it was more of a feats of strength type mission to see just how big of a pumpkin he could lift.
While Stacey saw potential in even the smallest of pumpkins.

I was actually shocked that one large pumpkin wasn't the final choice, instead two small and one medium sized were the final adoptees.

Carnies Among Us

We never made it to the State Fair this year. Stacey and III were there briefly at the tech/baylor game, but our schedule, the cost, and the fact that my me-maw hips aren't up for just a whole lot of aimless walking these days left us without our annual outing and before we knew it the 2010 fair had come and gone.

However, you need not worry, there was a petting zoo at church on Sunday and we channelled our inner carny and made our very own carmel apples and corny dogs! Now all we need are the tornado taters...and a funnel cake...and a dog show... and the car show...

Watch our Fletcher's we may be onto something.

Parade

The Richardson High School Homecoming Parade takes place just down the street so we walked a few houses down and enjoyed the show and candy!
Wyatt now wants a tuba for his birthday.

Spiders and Monsters OH MY!

No we're not talking Halloween we are talking soccer. The Spiders and Monsters were back in action on Sat. and I am happy to report that both Stacey and Wyatt played great games. In Wyatt's first game back after our disastrous first week he managed to score a goal for both his team and the apposing team - an incredible turn around from week one.

Getting ready for the game.
Enough goofing around, this is Wyatt's new serious soccer face. WATCH OUT!
Take it away #8!!! This week there was only some slight hesitation getting started, but once he was in he scored TWO goals!
Wyatt's game was at 9:00 and Stacey's wasn't until 11:00 so we had plenty of time to take some pictures of the fans,

pick some flowers,
and chill out.
The difference in the three-year-olds and the five-year-olds is crazy.

He shoots, he scores!!! Stacey managed to score twice as well making it a great soccer Sat. for the Smith's.
Celebrating :)
Ahhhh, satisfaction!
Stacey caught one of Wyatt's goals on video with his phone. I'm not sure who the obnoxious Mom is yelling, oh wait that is me!

Baby Shower

Double the trouble, double the fun.
Life with twins has just begun.
Double the diapers, double the toys.
Caryn is having two little BOYS!!

On October 9th these sweet girls threw me a darling (is it Ok to say that about your own shower? I think so since I had nothing to do with the cuteness) diaper and gift card shower at La Madeline.
Alli is a friend of mine from Watermark and lives in our neighborhood with two boys of her own. We met when we started serving in student ministries on the same Sunday some 8 plus years ago!

If you've been reading my blog for any time at all you know Angie and Kacey are my sisters and my BFFs :).

Karla and I also met through student ministries and served as co-leaders for a group of girls for six years together. We shared our first two pregnancies together but she went for #3 on her own. So now I am trumping her by doing a two for one ;).

Of course I just loved every little detail and can't help but share them with you.

You can get a tutorial on how to make these vases over on Kacey's blog
The menu, yummy!
