Thanksgiving 2012

We had a great Thanksgiving at Lake LBJ. It was a Purdy Thanksgiving and since we all live in the same town now we thought it would be fun to mix it up and all be under one roof for all the chaos and memories that entails. The weather was beautiful and we had a really fun weekend with some of my most favorite people in the world in one of our most favorite places in the world.

Apple Turkeys, a Thanksgiving tradition that I force everyone to participate in. It was Coyt and Crew's first time to actually make their own. sweet little fingers working so hard to get those fruit loops on the toothpicks. :)

After the little turkeys were created and devoured...I've never seen them get gobbles up so fast. Honey brought in the big guns for a group fruit turkey.
Beautiful!
The girls enjoyed designing some jewelry.
My boys in orange.

=4 Sometimes I still can't believe I have FOUR boys. :)
I know, ANOTHER amazing family photo, how does she do it!? ;)
Silly Warrens
Ryan and Stacey did a lot of this:

And everyone enjoyed riding bikes.
or scooters :)

Every year we go around the table and say what we are thankful for. I always love hearing the boys answers, but can't remember what they were to record it here. BOO. In this picture they are laughing at Daddy hinting that they might should be thankful for him:)
Just can't be at the lake and NOT put your feet in the water. Also lets you know how unseasonably warm it was.
I neglected to bring the babies life jackets so we were just scrounging. This one was funny when it actually fit, but two sizes to small over clothes was just ridiculous. Poor Coyt.
Are you guys laughing at me?
Nope, not much better.
Honey had a few more creative snacks, acorn cookie/kisses.
And games, pin the hat on the turkey, up her sleeve.
My sweet Cs on a boat ride.
I think I could get used to this tradition!

Thanksgiving Tree

This November, as has become an annual tradition, we put together a Thanksgiving Tree full of all the things we are thankful for and holy heavens are there A LOT of leaves on that tree. We took it up a notch this year and went 3D...ooooo ahhhhh...with some twigs from behind our house.

We truly have SO many incredible things to be Thankful four and these four are at the very top of my list.
Sidenote: My double blessings Coyt and Crew- insert wink - spilled a wee bit of water on our keyboard so the exclamation point, parentheses, right click and a few other pretty vital keys are not working. Don't let the missing smiley faces and punctuation reflect my seeming lower lever of enthusiasm.

Turkey Trot 2012

Hi there bloggy blog!! Sorry we've been MIA, but a broken camera, slow computer and memory issues with blogger have kept me from getting on here and updating with ease...not to mention the four monkeys we are attempting to raise ;)...but, without further ado (hopefully, still working out the kinks on the memory issues) a few events from our November...

The Turkey Trot is a highlight for our boys every year. And they left this year telling me it might have been the best day ever so I'd say it was a HUGE success. Thanks for all the pictures Ang!!

We started off with a presentation from Stacey's first grade class of the Thanksgiving story - precious and perfect!!

Then we headed into the fellowship hall for some bible verses recited by memory and Thanksgiving songs. Stacey III would never admit it, but I think he actually likes music.

Then we enjoyed lunch together before heading to the actual trot.

Nannie had my babies and oh what a treat to get to just sit and watch instead of juggling the Cs.

This duo is just too sweet for words. Ally & Wyatt
 Lunch with the boys!
 GP and his Bigs.
Then it was time to R.U.N!! Ryan and Stacey ran in the three mile race and take this stuff pretty seriously!

As do we, obviously. ;) Stacey had to "run" back to work while we cheered on our runners.
Stacey III finishing his race...with his Mom watching quietly from the sideline...hehe can't help myself.
A few other cheerleaders cheering him on.
He finished in 5th place (in the whole school!!) and first place in his division. I can't explain how proud I feel when the boys cross the finish line!! And not because they are amazing runners, which they are, but it just makes me so proud to see them trying their best and giving it their all. Proud Mommy moment!!
Wyatt opted to do the one mile and finished in FOURTH place!!!! Again, SO proud!!!

Run Wyatt Run!!
They get a Turkey Trot token at the finish line, which lots of kids wear on their backpacks, and Wyatt was SUPER excited to get his first one!!
 A few sweet running buddies.
Phew, these guys were worn out!!
Another great Turkey Trot and a great kick off to our Thanksgiving.
