This has been a bit of a crazy week. On Sunday morning Angie (my older sister) found out that her father-in-law has passed away unexpectedly. Stacey is in route to Waco to represent us at the funeral today, but it has been really hard not to be there to hug her neck and just be available but due to the twins arrival being so close I've had to stay put.
Later that same evening Shelley (my sister-in-law) returned from London after six months away. We are thrilled to have her and the kids back in Dallas for an extended stay and soaking them up while they are here.
And finally on Monday morning (actually things got started late Sunday night as well) Kacey (my younger sister) called to say she was in labor and Caroline Caprice was born on Monday around 4:30. Aren't they both just beautiful!!
Again SUPER hard not to jump in the car and be there for the whole thing. I know it is NOT about me but I just can't wait to get my hands on her!!
Needles to say lots of emotions have rolled though our house this week. And Ecclesiastes 2 has been ringing in our ears, "There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens. A time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant an a time to uproot..."
And for the sonos portion: I went to the doctor today for my weekly checkup and was dilated to a 2! I am tentatively (they still have to confirm hospital availability etc.) scheduled for an induction on Thursday December, 16th!! CRAZY that it's just days away now!!
Shelley and Sarah (I know you guys are all jealous of the sister lottery that I seem to have been a winner in) treated me to a mini pedi party and I couldn't have enjoyed the papering more.

You just can't beat some great sisters (try 4 for you!!), a sweet baby girl sent straight from heaven, and a pedicure. I don't think I can think of a better combo!!
Oh Caryn!
What a week! I am glad I decided to check on the blog. You hit the nail on the head with the scripture. Sorry about Angie and elated for Kacey. You are just days away and that is so exciting. I can't believe you are going to be a mom of 4 very soon! Take care and keep us posted!
The Lord and His Sovereignty is always such a mystery, but yet so assuring. So thankful the Smiths are all reunited! Praying for both of your sweet sisters this week. Pumped for the 16th!!!
Oh honey! What a wild couple of days. Praying for your sweet family. Congrats on the new baby girl in the family, and can't wait to hear news of C & C's arrival. So, so thrilled for you! I can't believe they're almost here!
