Orange you proud!!

Last weekend we wrapped up Stacey's III's soccer season with the Headhunters. Not gonna lie I think we were all relived it was over!! Stacey loves soccer but the jump to a new team of mostly new players and a new league with a much bigger field and real positions and defense and (fill in the blank with your own soccer lingo that i am completely ignorant of) left the Headhunters pretty outmatched and therefore regularly defeated. Did I say "regularly" defeated, what I meant was they were undefeated in defeats. Stacey was used to scoring pretty easily so you can imagine that scoring one goal all season left him less than enthused. Although that particular game was EXTRA sweet because of it! Of course it is the one game I missed all season - stink!

Soccer, I'm sure it won't be long before you reclaim out Saturday's but until then know this: we plan to stay away long enough to miss you and when we return you better be ready cause the boys in orange will be bringing their A game...otherwise we may have to start drinking on Sat. mornings. ;)
We celebrated with an end of season pizza party. The coaches talked about each players strengths and were very encouraging to their perfect band of misfits.

Notice Stacey's "after soccer" shoes. A special gift from Daddy, who said he always thought they were so cool and wanted a pair when he played soccer. Like father like son. After every game Stacey couldn't wait to slip into his awesome "after soccer" shoes. They seemed to help sooth the defeat just a little. :)
That same afternoon another orange super star, the Wy-Guy, had his TOTs Shinetime end of the year performance. At the beginning of the year he wasn't too sure about TOTs but as it continued he started to really LOVE Wednesdays and his time at TOTS. And, since Wyatt didn't play a sport this season i was thrilled for him to have his own special something!

An adoring fan.

And the best part, making every minute of both TOTS and Soccer through good times and bad the best thing that EVER happened to either of these fellas...Trophies!!!!
Is there anything better when you are a 5 or 6 year old little boy than a TROPHY??

Well, except maybe that wristband Wyatt is sporting, because trust it has not come off since. :)

Let's go fly a kite...

Last month, just after his birthday, Wyatt had a special date with Daddy a school to fly kites. I had to run up to school for a luncheon the same afternoon so I got to snap a few pictures of the dynamic duo before I ran in.

The kids all filled out a questionnaire about Dad and apparently Daddy and Wyatt need to spend a little more time together. :) Not sure where he came up with these answers but according to Wyatt his Dad's

Favorite Drink: apple juice
Favorite Food: pie
Job is: Working

Funny boy.

Field Day 2012

Last week Stacey III got to participate in Field Day at school. He was part of the green "den" and had a blast!

So fun getting to watch Stacey follow in Ryan's footsteps at school.

Bless his sweet Aunt Jamima bandana.

I just LOVE LOVE LOVE that GP and Honey are both in the background of this picture. He has no idea how blessed he is to have their love and support 24/7!
The course for the scooter relay was WAY to long, but the kids persevered!!

GO STACEY GO!!
Don't let these cuties-pies fool you they were STINKERS at field day and a hand full for this mama!!

Tiny and mighty. :)

Green guys didn't have quite the manpower to dominate in the tug of war, but they gave it their all!

Phone Photos from the Zoo

Stacey and Wyatt didn't have school on Monday so we ventured out to the zoo.
I think I'm going to have to learn photoshop so I can combine photos to get them both smiling at the same time. :)

I had such a fun morning with my monkeys. Kacey and her girls joined us for a bit, but just enjoying a simple outing with all four boys on my own gave me new found confidence (short-lived I'm sure because you know it could have just as easily been a disastrous comedy of errors!) for our summer.

Confidence or not there are only a few more weeks until the bigs rejoin this posse full time, and unless I plan on retaining a live in disciplinarian, boredom prevention specialist, twin whisperer and at home event coordinator, we will need to get out of the house from time to time!

Here Comes Summer

With the summer heat coming in quick we are super excited that the pool is finally ready!!

It turned out a little smaller than we had hoped but the boys LOVE it. ;)

"Murse"

My precious Coyt is a man on a mission with his purse, I mean briefcase, in hand.
Both boys love this purse, I mean man-bag, but Coyt seems to have the market cornered with his "murse" frequently in tow.
This little purse was actually mine when I was little and has stuck around at Honey and GPs for a long time!
I like to think he is a sports executive on his way to an important meeting. ;)
Love my Coyt-uroy and his manly handbag. :)

Crazy Hair Day

Stacey celebrated the USofA with a full week of themed days and activities at school. Crazy Hair Day was the big finish and thanks to a tip from our experienced cousin when knew just where to get the goods to make this hairdo happen. Because nothing says God Bless America like a six year old with a sturdy red, white and blue foehawk. :)

 Yeah, we rocked this day!
Stacey was super pumped to wear his crazy hair to school. But after school when I needed him to run a few errands with me he said, "MOM, I can not go in there with my hair like this!!" I told him that if anyone said anything just to tell them it was crazy hair day at his school. Sure enough right when we get out of the car he gets some comments. He cut his eyes at me like "see, I told you!" and then mumbled, "...itwascrazyhairdayatmyschool," while looking at the ground. But, he survived crazy haired errands and so did his "do". I thought we'd never get all that gel out!

Crab Walk

Just in the past few weeks Crew and Coyt have really mastered walking. But just a few short weeks ago we saw a lot of this whenever they hit the grass. Sweet babies are less and less baby every day.

While they obviously still look a lot alike we are starting to see them come into their own more and more both in their looks and actions.

Coyt will want to be held for a quick snuggle and then he is back to playing. He is pretty independent but will try to take whatever Crew is playing with and leave Crew crying about it quite often. He can be found with some sort of ball in his hand almost 24/7.

Crew on the other hand needs a little more lovin' and does not like it when I leave the room. He fake cries and gives us the lovely snarl face you see above quite often. :)

Both boys have proven they know how to throw a fit and will bang their heads on the ground when a toy is taken away or they don't get their way. They are slowly learning that it hurts and just do the motion sometimes without actually connecting to the floor. I'm afraid concrete floors are going to be a rude awakening to those little noggins!! They also both LOVE to be outside and usually playing outside can fix whatever ails them. Talking does not seem to be a priority to either of them and A Ah Aaa is still the favorite "word".

They've both been getting some molars this month so we've had some rough days with lots of inconsolable crying. Thankfully my mother-in-law took them for a few days this week and I got a much needed and appreciated break!! So I can love on my little crab crawlers with renewed energy and patience.

15 Month Stats:
Coyt - 22.3 lbs. 31 1/2 inches
Crew - 21.6 lbs. 31 1/2 inches
